The old library of Alexandria is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Ancient World’ housing the most important manuscripts in the world and was a great centre of learning for 600 years until it burned down in the 3rd century. The new library of Alexandria is one of the biggest libraries in the world with over 8 million books and hosts several museums and unique displays.
After enjoying a tour of the dramatically beautiful new library, we stop for lunch on the Mediterranean promenade with fresh air breathtaking then we visit the Fortes of Qaibay from outside located in the old fisherman port.
