You can start or end your River Nile Cruise with a stay in Giza, Cairo, in a luxury hotel with Pyramids view room. The hotel location is just a few minutes' walk from the famous Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Learn about the Khufu, Khafre and Khephren Pyramids, as well as the majestic Sphinx, with expert commentary from an Egyptologist. You'll also have spare time here to explore and spend at leisure.
Then head to Alexandria, an ancient port city founded by Alexander the Great and the royal palace of Cleopatra. Here you can find out about the legendary Pharos Lighthouse and the lost Library of Alexandria, both of which no longer exist. As well as the new 'Grand Library of Alexandria' that houses over 1 million books.
You will start in ancient Luxor for your Nile cruise. Here you will visit the West Bank of Luxor, home to the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings, where you'll see impressive tombs and can even enter Tutankhamun's tomb (extra fees apply). You'll then admire the temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Continuing along the Nile towards Aswan, visit the temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to gods Horus and Sobek. An experience-filled day awaits in Aswan—discover the colossal High Dam, the beguiling Temple of Philae, and the fascinating Nubian Museum. The next day, take a ride on a traditional felucca boat.
Head to Edfu, where you'll have the afternoon free to explore before returning to Luxor the next day. Here, admire the numerous ancient monuments in the East Bank, including the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple.
