Abu Simbel, the temple that moved!

A popular add-on to our Nile cruise itinerary is the excursion to Abu Simbel. The iconic temple, carved into a sheer rock face, towered over the Nile for 3000 years, before being dismantled and rebuilt on a higher hill to make way for the Aswan High Dam in the 1960s.
