MS Princess Amira & Prince Omar Nile Cruise Itinerary (Sailing Mondays):

Day 1: Meet and assist at Luxor Airport or Hurghada Hotel (if confirmed a Nile Cruise & Stay). Please look for our Egypt Representative as they will assist you through immigration and other formalities and transfer you to the Nile boat for embarkation. The friendly crew will welcome you and assist you in settling in your cabin. Overnight stay on board in Luxor.

Day 2: Our first day of excursions begin with an early morning trip to the East Bank of Luxor to visit the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Lunch on the cruise. Noon time sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board in Edfu.

Day 3: Early sailing around 9am to the town of Kom Ombo with an afternoon visit at 16:00 to the Sobek Temple. We continue our sail to Aswan and arrive around 21:00. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day 4: Our visit of Aswan begins early morning with a visit to the High Dam, Philae Temple and Felucca Trip on the Nile. Guests can use the afternoon to leisurely explore Aswan or our (optional) excursion to the Nubian Village or simply ride on a camel along the Nile by our guide on the spot. Overnight on board in Aswan.

Day 5: Early morning (Optional) visit to the famous temple of Abu Simbel in the south of Aswan or you can just spend a relaxed morning on the sun deck, after noon sailing (around 14HRS) to Dendera with pause for 10 Min, in Edfu

Day 6: Enjoy breakfast on board, Cruise along the peaceful River Nile to Luxor, while resting on the shaded chairs and watch the farming along the river bank, or you could Relax on the boat sundeck or cool off in the plunge pool, overnight on board

Day 7: Morning excursion to West Bank including Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Evening visit to the sound and light show at Karnak temple (optional), Dinner and Overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 8: Breakfast on the cruise and transfer to Luxor or Hurghada Airport for your flight home or your next destination for example Cairo or Hurghada.

Entry Visa:

An Egypt Visa is required for most travellers including British passport holders. You can obtain a Visa upon arrival at Cairo, Luxor and Hurghada International airports, at the bank kiosks before the immigration counters for $25 USD and are valid for visits up to 30 days. It is possible to purchase a visa prior to departure, this is known as an e-visa, although you will pay a premium for this and therefore we wouldn’t recommend.

Gratuities:

Nile Cruise Boat Gratuities are payable once on board charged at £27pp per week.

Currency:

The boats accept GBP, USD, Euro’s and EGP

Credit Cards can be used on board, but during the excursions most places accept cash only.

Wi-Fi:

Wi-Fi is chargeable on board: 1 day is £3.50; 2 days £5.50; 3 days £7.50; 7 days £18.00.

Cabins/Boat

Towels will be provided for the Bathroom and Pool.

There are amenities in the bathroom (Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner)

Kettles are not provided in the Nile Boat cabins.

The plug used is a 2 round pin plug.

There are no formal nights on the boat, dress code is smart/casual.

A safe is provided in the cabins free of charge.

No laundry facilities available on the boat.

Drinks Package:

If you have confirmed FB and wish to upgrade to AI you can do so on board for supplement £200pp. Unless AI (All-Inclusive) is stated on your accommodation voucher you will receive FB (Full-Board) which includes meals but no drinks.
