It’s the news we have all been waiting for… Egypt holidays are back as the country is at last moved off of the government red list. Indeed, lots of countries have as things seem to be getting back to a new, more normal, normal.

This new rule takes effect 0400hrs 4th October 2021. You should still check the entry requirements for all the countries you are visiting on the Government website.

Egypt has been taken off of the red list and moved to the new ROW (Rest of World) list, which is in effect the defacto green list for fully vaccinated travellers.

Fully vaccinated holidaymakers can now travel to Egypt safely, without the need for a ‘fit to fly’ test prior to return. From late October, there will be no requirement for a day 2 PCR test once back in the UK either. You just have to complete the simple PLFs (passengers locator forms).

This means a welcome return for Egypt holidays and tours once more. Holidays abroad are welcome once again.

What do I have to do to holiday in Egypt at the moment?

All travellers must produce proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel. We recommend using Randox who are a government endorsed company. Use code Broadway43 for discount.

All visitors must also complete a simple Egyptian Health Declaration Form.

On return to the UK, fully vaccinated passengers must show proof of full vaccination by using the NHS app or requesting a paper copy from the NHS/Gov website. Non-vaccinated passengers must produce a ‘fit to fly test’ as well as take a day 2 PCR test on return.

All return visitors must also fill in a UK PLF within 48 hours of the return flight home. Easy form, takes around 2 minutes to complete. Make sure you make a copy of the PLF on the photos section of your phone as backup.

What are the new covid rules if you are travelling with children? From 4th October, children under 18 do not need to take a test prior to return to the UK. Children are also exempt from taking a day 2 PCR test.

Also, in all the excitement, don’t forget to check your passports. You need at least 6 months from the date you fly home to the UK to get into Egypt. You also need to purchase a tourist visa on arrival in Egypt (Sharm is exempt) which is $25USD per person.

See you in the sun!
